The Spuriscope
The Spuriscope, an ingenious device for detecting counterfeit currency by comparing the check letter with that which is correct for the serial number of the bill. Works for any denomination of US currency.
Looking like an old telephone rotary dialer, and approximately 4-1/2" in diameter and 7/8" thick, the Spuriscope is made from plastic, most likely Bakelite. This comes with a Guarantee ($1000), and has instructions for use printed on the back of the guarantee. The guarantee/instructions have been folded both ways, to fit into the original box, which is included.
As both the Spuriscope and the guarantee have a label pasted on over the original printing, we can only speculate as to what the original company name, or perhaps that of the distributor, might have been. Price: $95.00 + shipping.

Set of College Currency Practice Notes
College Currency Practice Notes, 9 different denominations. Not dated; not imprinted with any specific Business College name.
Listed in the Schingoethes' book, "College Currency, Money for Business Training", as Maverick notes, of the MAV480 Series. Apparently the full denomination set would have included a 5 cents, $1, and $1000 notes in addition to the nine notes here. All are black on tan paper, with the backs being identical to the fronts. An interesting note is that while most have "medal reverses", the 25 cents and $2 notes have "coin reverses". All are Uncirculated, and each will be enclosed in a Mylar holder when you receive them. Price for the set of 9 pieces: $27.00 + shipping.
