Oregon Pioneer Mylar Pouches are the most versatile approach to safe storage of your medium and large sized paper items. Pouches are fabricated by heat-sealing, on semi-automated equipment, making them more expensive than folded products like sleeves. However, there are two major advantages to a heat-sealed pouch: First, they are available in almost any size imaginable, and secondly, they can be made in small quantities, as few as one or two pieces, if necessary. This makes it practical to enclose that unique item of yours that you have previously been unable to display and enjoy. We stock an assortment of sizes for the majority of mid-sized collectible paper, and invite your inquiries for custom sizes. When determining the appropriate size for your custom pouches, we recommend a margin of from 1/4" to 1/2" all around the item to be enclosed. As pouches are heat-sealed, there is no space between the front and back at the edges, so an extra margin is required for ease of insertion of the item to be enclosed. Pouches are sealed on three sides, and when ordering custom pouches, the choice is yours as to whether a long side or a short side is left open. Given pouches of the same size, ones with the long side open will be somewhat easier to load. We are happy to assist in submitting a custom pouch order, and welcome your questions.
